Destiny is BACK (But There's a Catch)

Bungie just dropped a massive October Community Update outlining the exact production timeline for Destiny 2's Unvaulting, and more importantly, teasing the [REDACTED] future of the franchise. With full production on unvaulting taking 12 months, we are looking at 2028 for the return of the Red War, Forsaken, and the Menagerie.

But what does the "Destiny Legacy" project mean for Destiny 1, and how does the survival of Marathon directly fund the development of Destiny 3 or a "Forever Destiny" client? Let's break down Josh Deane's roadmap, the business reality of this studio reset, and what it means for the next two years of the live game.

What do you think "Destiny Legacy" means? Are we getting D1 on PC, or a single massive client? Let me know in the comments!
